With the passing of the inflation reduction act, the US market is becoming increasingly attractive to ECA lenders. This panel considers:
• The growing role of the Department of Energy in closing deals in the US energy sector
• The role that the USDA has to play, and how agencies can collaborate
• The increase in US domestic investment programmes
Latin America has rich mineral deposits, specifically to minerals that are critical to the future of the energy transition, namely Lithium and Copper. These minerals and our ability to extract and produce will determine the pace of the energy transition - if we are able to overcome the political, environmental and financial obstacles presented.
Despite a slow few years, the borrowing market in the Americas is on the up. In H1 of 2023 alone, TXF Data reported $15.17 billion in export finance volumes across North and Latin America. As Capex slowly returns to the market, this panel considers:
