Energy transition and managing climate change are global priorities, but how do we ensure that developed markets meet ambitious green generation and decarbonisation targets whilst supporting developing countries in the same efforts? This session will consider:

• Which technologies, from mainstream renewable generation to newer decarbonisation assets, are most likely to achieve our goals?
• What sources of financing can developers look towards for capital, and what challenges are most likely to inhibit growth?
• What role do ECAs have to play in financing new projects, especially when it comes to emerging technologies?
• How can DFIs contribute to the energy transition in emerging markets, and what role will blended finance have to play? How can we mobilize private capital into climate related projects?
